The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) proudly congratulates Driss El Hilali, IFMA Vice President and President of the Moroccan Muaythai Federation, on his election as Vice President of World Taekwondo (WT).
The elections, held during the 2025 World Taekwondo General Assembly, brought together representatives from across the five continents to elect the leadership team for the new term. Mr. El Hilali’s election as WT Vice President representing Africa marks yet another milestone in his distinguished career and reflects his longstanding dedication to the development of martial arts and combat sports on the continental and global stage.

As a respected sports administrator and leader, Driss El Hilali has contributed extensively to the growth of Muaythai across Africa through his leadership within the Royal Moroccan Federation of Muaythai and the African Muaythai Confederation, and his work within IFMA. His appointment to the World Taekwondo Executive Council is not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for the wider martial arts family, underscoring the values of unity, respect, and mutual support shared among combat sports.
IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan and Secretary General Stephan Fox extended their warm congratulations to Mr. El Hilali, expressing pride in seeing an IFMA leader take on a prominent role in another Olympic-recognised international federation.
