At the IFMA Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, the Space 42 Arena was once again transformed—not by roaring crowds or fierce competition, but by something even more powerful: unity, inclusion, and the unwavering spirit of Muaythai.

Athletes from across the globe and every region of the United Arab Emirates gathered for the Para and Special Divisions Workshop, a vibrant and meaningful event led by IFMA Secretary General and President of United Through Sports, Stephan Fox, and IFMA Sport Director, Janice Lyn. In collaboration with Special Olympics UAE and a team of technical and specialized coaches, the workshop became a celebration of diversity, resilience, and the shared love of sport.

One World, One Muaythai
The workshop embodied IFMA’s commitment to inclusivity and its guiding principle: Muaythai for Every Body. From the moment the athletes arrived, the energy was electric. Smiles, high-fives, and warm greetings filled the room, proving that Muaythai is more than a sport—it’s a global family.

Stephan Fox opened the session with a message of empowerment, reminding everyone that Muaythai is a platform where all athletes—regardless of ability—can shine. Janice Lyn followed with heartfelt encouragement, emphasizing that every competitor has a story worth celebrating and a place on the world stage.

Preparing with Purpose
The workshop wasn’t just about inspiration—it was also about preparation. Athletes were briefed on the rules and expectations for competition day, ensuring clarity and confidence. Coaches worked closely with participants, offering guidance tailored to each athlete’s needs and strengths.

Then came the final practice session: a chance to sharpen skills, build camaraderie, and channel excitement into movement. The arena echoed with cheers and encouragement as athletes trained side by side, lifting each other up with every punch, kick, and smile.
A Celebration of Inclusion

This workshop was a powerful reminder that Muaythai is evolving—not just as a sport, but as a movement. A movement that embraces all bodies, all backgrounds, and all abilities. A movement that unites nations under one banner: One World, One Muaythai.

From the UAE to the far corners of the globe, athletes stood together in Abu Dhabi to prove that strength comes in many forms—and that the heart of Muaythai beats strongest when everyone is included.’

As the workshop came to a close, the message was clear:
Muaythai is not just about competition—it’s about connection. It’s not just about winning—it’s about belonging. And it’s not just for some—it’s for everyone.

With the Para and Special Divisions leading the way, IFMA continues to champion a future where every athlete has a voice, every story is honored, and every body is celebrated.

Muaythai for Every Body. One World. One Muaythai.
