The beautiful city of Bangkok will be the centre of the world for the muaythai youth championships from the 3rd to the 11th August. Over 1000 participants are confirmed from all 5 continents which will take part in this sporting and cultural exchange.

The event titled Reaching for the Stars will be in line with IFMA’s youth and grass root development to use the power of sport and muaythai to create a better world. It will be the first time that IFMA’s youth will participate as an IOC recognised sport after muaythai has been given recognition by the IOC last year.

Besides the competition there are many cultural and educational activities in cooperation with IFMA partners like UNESCO, Peace and Sport and many others.

An important meeting took place between the Royal Thai Government and the Department of Physical Education, the Amateur Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, and the IFMA leadership to finalise the last details before the muaythai children of the world arrive in Bangkok.
