An important coordination meeting took place between representatives of the Royal Thai Games, Department of Physical Education, and Ministry of Tourism and Sport, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the city of Bangkok, the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand under Royal patronage and IFMA, the world Governing body for amateur muaythai.
Every contributing party gave an update on all the work towards the overall goal which everyone has the same focus to make this an unforgettable experience for the visiting muaythai youth of the world. The event will incorporate sporting and cultural exchange between youth of Thailand and the world and many activities are planned during the seven-day event.

IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan said that he is happy with all the reports and this is the first exclusively youth world championships hosted in Thailand and that the entire kingdom is excited on being the host. The fact that so many national teams from all five continents participate showcases again the ever growing popularity of muaythai regardless if it is practiced as competition, health and fitness, or cultural art form.IMG_8999
