Day 1 IFMA World Championships started with over 130 fights, 3 rings with 9 hours of nonstop action. This again showcases why IFMA is the sole recognized federation of the IOC.

Day 1 also showcased why muaythai is truly an international sport and many world championships were upset by the new generation nakmuay. IFMA superstar and number one seeded, Patricia Axling, from Sweden was beat by Maria Limova from Russia.

Peru’s Lisanne Antje Elisabeth va der Molen, the PanAmerican champion, lost against Lucia Szabova from Slovakia in one of the most outstanding fights of the day.

Nili Block from Israel, once again showed why she is one of the most highly decorated female athletes in the world winning against Australia’s Britney Dolheguy.

Another outstanding female fight was from Aurore Dos Santos, French European Champion, who dominated Singaporean fighter, Lena Tan Yi Hui, the Asian champion.

In the fight of the Big Boys, Stavros Grigorakakis from the Motherland of the Olympics beat Juha-matti Runtti of Finland (+91Kg). In the 81Kg division, Umarjon Davlatov from Tajikistan beat USA fighter, Ryan Fathi, Thailand started strong with 4 wins while Ukraine’s World Champions all pulled through.
