The athletes are the heart and soul of IFMA’s mission and vision.

IFMA’s main priority is the protection of the clean athletes and to support them equally on and off the field of play, which revolves around the athlete. IFMA has a strong athletes commission, and its Chair has a permanent seat on the IFMA Executive Committee, ensuring true athlete representation at the decision making level of the organisation.

The safety and wellbeing of all athletes are paramount to IFMA. We will continue to make a unified effort to keep our athletes safe, contribute to their wellbeing and safeguard their rights.

One of the most important and easiest things that the athletes can do is to be proactive in protecting their own health and sporting career by getting well educated in anti-doping matters. This webinar will highlight how WADA and Anti-Doping Organisations are working hard to ensure that education is available and importantly, becomes the first experience that athletes have as part of the anti-doping system.

Kady Kanouté: participated in the olympic games in Beijing 2008 as co captain of the Mali women’s basketball team. She had a long professional career winning numerous French and African championships before completing a Marketing and Management degree at Fordham University in New York. She continues to represent, empower and educate athletes. She is a lead trainer and a Steering Committee member of the IOC Athlete Career Programme delivering workshops around the world. Kanouté Tounkara is also an advocate for clean sport and a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Education Committee member.

Amanda Hudson: is the WADA Director of Education. Amanda has been connected to sport nearly all her life before she joined WADA she was the head of education for UK Anti-Doping.

Kangeun Lee: the Senior Manager of Digital Learning and Education at WADA has an extensive sporting background being with WADA for over 5 years. And before, leading the international sports division at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea.

Ben Stanford: the Chair of WADA’s Athlete Committee, a 3 times Olympian in Skeleton, a member of the New Zealand athletes committee and attorney.
