Mexico has gained huge popularity in the world of muaythai under president George Vasques, and IFMA EB member and chair of the youth commission Elisa Salinas.
Muaythai in Mexico is striving in all areas, just got fully recognised by the Mexican government and has held regional championships in every province. The finals are scheduled for 19 March to decide who will be the 12 finalists representing Mexico at the upcoming IFMA World Championships held on 19-29 May in Sweden, the official qualifier for 2017 World Games under patronage of IOC.
IFMA only can congratulate Mexico on the Sport Is Your Gang project which now has over 1000 children involved.
