As the exclusive Muaythai Federation acknowledged by the esteemed National Olympic and Paralympic Committee, The US Muaythai Federation (USMF) stands firm in its belief that enriching and upholding the values of Muaythai and the Olympics is paramount. Michael Corley, President of United States Muaythai, underscores this commitment by emphasizing the importance of athlete well-being and safety.

In recent years, Muaythai’s presence in the USA has flourished, propelled by a meticulously orchestrated youth development program. Team USA’s remarkable achievements, twice earning the title of the most outstanding team at the IFMA Youth World Championships, testify to this progress. Furthermore, Muaythai’s prominence was on full display at the World Games in Birmingham, where Team USA proudly secured three gold medals, cementing its position as a force to be reckoned with in the sport.

This year’s national championships served as the official qualifier for both the IFMA Senior World Championships in Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics, and the Youth World Championships in Bangkok. Athletes from across the United States converged, showcasing not only their athletic prowess but also the rich cultural tapestry and unwavering spirit of fair play.

The four-day event witnessed numerous contests decided by razor-thin margins, a testament to the exceptionally high standard of Muaythai in the United States.

IFMA President, Dr. Sakchye Tapuswan, extends heartfelt congratulations to USA Muaythai and the athletes who earned their tickets to Greece and Bangkok. To those who placed second and third, he offers words of encouragement, reminding them that in Muaythai, setbacks are opportunities for growth: “In Muaythai, we never lose; we learn and return stronger.”

Congratulations to the national team of the United States, exemplifying excellence and camaraderie on the global stage!
