Every year, the King and Queen’s Cups represent the pinnacle of achievement in Muaythai, honoring the most outstanding male and female athletes who embody the sport’s core values: respect, tradition, unity, and the profound reverence the World Muaythai Community holds for Thailand—the motherland of Muaythai—and the Royal Family.

This year’s event, a unifying celebration of Muaythai’s legacy, was organized under the auspices of Thailand’s two sole recognized National Muaythai Federations:

AMTAT, under Royal Patronage

PAT, under the sanctioning of the IOC-recognized International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA)

We are proud to announce the 2024 recipients of these esteemed awards:

King’s Cup Winner: Petchwanchai Wor Sangprapai from Thailand

Queen’s Cup Winner: Laura Burgos from Mexico

An Unforgettable Moment

The atmosphere was charged with emotion as the Royal Trophies were presented under the auspices of the portraits of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. It was a moment of deep reverence, pride, and joy—one that encapsulated the grandeur of Thailand’s royal tradition and the unifying power of Muaythai.

For both champions, this day will forever stand as a pinnacle in their careers. Petchwanchai Wor Sangprapai, a homegrown talent from Thailand, and Laura Burgos, an international star from Mexico, have both earned a place among the legends of the sport.

Their illustrious careers are adorned with numerous accolades, including professional and IFMA World Championships. Laura Burgos, notably, gained global fame as the winner of the Emmy-nominated Challenger Muaythai reality TV show. Yet, both Petchwanchai and Laura expressed that this particular honor is unmatched—an achievement rooted not only in their individual excellence but also in the shared love and respect for Muaythai as a global family.

A Celebration of Unity and Global Spirit

Their triumphs are a testament to personal dedication, discipline, and the indomitable spirit of Muaythai. But beyond the individual victories, this event served as a celebration of global unity, transcending borders and cultures. Muaythai, with its deep roots in Thai tradition and royal patronage, continues to inspire and connect people from all walks of life.
