May 17th-19th saw the 2013 Polish Championships 2013 held in the city of Lodz with over 120 fighters in participation.

On 18th of May the spectators enjoyed high quality elimination bouts. On the 19th of May was opening ceremony of the Finals of the Championships.

The organizer of the Championships – Mr. Robert Karpinski welcomed all the guests and participants of the tournament.  The Honorary guest of the event – His Excellency Ambassador of Thailand Mr. Bansarn Bunnag gave an opening speech. After this, the top fighters of the event were chosen in even but intense bouts.

 

To soothe the tension, the spectators were treated to a special performance by the YoYo Academy. In addition to cups and medals for the winners of every weight and age category, special trophies were also granted to the best female and male fighters. These trophies were graciously donated by The Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw.

The final surprise for spectators and guests of the tournament was the professional fight of between Rafal Simonides, the intercontinental champion with an opponent from Italy.

The 2013 Polish Muaythai Championships ended with great organizational and sport success. In the spirit of fair play and in compliance with WADA, 8 anti-doping tests were performed during the championships.

From year to year fighters are bringing an improved skill level to the games and this is a clear signal that Muaythai in Poland is constantly evolving, likewise with the crowd of spectators which also grows bigger with each year.
