Chommannee Sor Taehiran, one of the female superstars in the Muaythai world, is to be the female captain for Thailand in the upcoming Muaythai University World Cup, under FISU patronage. Chommannee, World Muaythai Angels champion and winner of Muaythai’s UNiTE to End Violence Against Women trophy, stated that she is proud that she will take part in the first every Muaythai University World Cup when history will be made on the 17th of March on the opening of the first ever Muaythai University World Cup. Chommannee is currently studying in the Faculty of Education at the Institute of Physical Education, and will proudly represent her country, flag, and family when she steps onto the ring to compete.

Chommanee stated that nothing gives her more joy than to fight for the pride of Thailand in this important event, and the fact that she is the team captain shows the popularity female Muaythai has been gaining around the world.
