Malaysia which was host for the famous reality show Challenger, and which has won the bid for the 2014 IFMA World Championship, is host for another world class event managed by Elite Boxing, under the sanctioning of the World Muaythai Council and the Malaysian Muaythai Association. The Thailand vs Challenger series needs no introduction as Elite Boxing is in the third year of promoting this fantastic concept.
Next week on October 9th the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center will come alive when the best of the best will fight for fame and glory. The main fight of the evening is between some of the most outstanding personalities of the Challenger television show, from Thailand Mardusa and the semi-finalist Mostafa Abdollahi from Iran. This is a fight which the world wants to see!
The main undercard fight is between Malaysian superstar and Challenger personality Faizel Ramli and Armin Pumpanmuang of Thailand, and Asian champion and one of Malaysia’s greatest talents Ali Yaakob will take on Petchumphol from Thailand, while China’s Liu Xiang Ming goes up against Thailand’s Changpuek from Elite Boxing Club. A super fight has also been scheduled between Leo Monteiro from Brazil, the host of next year’s Olympic summer games, and Jom Kitti of Thailand.
Elite Boxing is in full support of the application and efforts of the WMC and IFMA to get Muaythai recognized by international sports authorities. Next week’s event is fully supported by the Malaysian government and will also bring TV celebrities ringside. The fights will be televised by TVC from Malaysia, as they have partnered with Elite Boxing for the first time this year.
