Thailand will be the host of the 2018 SportAccord Convention where the 2000+ delegates including the world’s leaders in sport will convene in Bangkok from April 15-20 2018. Her Excellency Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul addressed the recognised world of sport, the Olympic movement in Lausanne during the 2017 IF Forum in a heartfelt speech.

She was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of the Sport Authority of Thailand Ly. Col. Ruj Saeng-Udom whom were welcomed by many representatives of the IOC, GAISF and SportAccord. In her address she welcomed all delegates to Bangkok, with a warm invitation to come together in the spirit of building a better world through the power of sport. The Minister also outlined the plans for the Sport Festival which will be held during the Convention, a celebration of unity in diversity.

She was welcomed to the stage by Mr Nis Hatt, CEO of the SportAccord Convention who just returned from a site visit in Bangkok. The minister also met with SportAccord and GAISF President Patrick Baumann and GAISF Vice Presidents Mr. Raffaele Chiulli and Stephan Fox. Her Excellency thanked again the world sport community and the IOC for the recognition granted to IFMA and muaythai.

Thailand will be ready to host the biggest, most influential world sport convention which will be opened by the IOC President Dr. Thomas Bach.
