Excitement is building as national teams from across Asia and Oceania descend upon Vietnam for the highly anticipated 2025 Asian Muaythai Championships. This prestigious event brings together the continent’s finest athletes in celebration of tradition, athletic excellence, and unity.

Muaythai, fully recognised by both the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), returns to Vietnam following its memorable debut at the 2016 Asian Beach Games in Da Nang. This year’s championship holds added significance as it takes place just six weeks ahead of the Asian Games in China, serving as a crucial platform for final preparations and continental pride.

The host city, Thai Nguyen, has gone to great lengths to ensure a safe, inclusive, and unforgettable experience. Athletes, officials, and visitors can expect a rich blend of sport and culture, with a range of competitions and cultural activities aimed at fostering friendship and understanding across nations.

H.E. Abdullah Al Neyadi, President of the Asian Muaythai Federation, emphasized the championship’s significance:

“This event is once again a powerful reminder of muaythai’s global spirit, with deep roots in Asia. We can all be proud of how muaythai continues to unite people through respect and excellence.”

As the spirit of muaythai shines once more in Vietnam, we look forward to a championship that will not only crown champions but also inspire the next generation.

Thank you, Vietnam.
Let the games begin.
