Going back in time to the first attendance at the SportAccord Convention in South Korea.

The International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) was first recognised by SportAccord in the year 2006 and was able to attend the SportAccord Convention the same year, by having a booth and promoting Muaythai to the world sporting community.

IFMA has gone a long way since then with the inclusion into the TAFISA Games, ARAFURA Games as well as attend the SportAccord World Combat Games for the first time in 2010 in Beijing, the inclusion into the International World Combat Games Association (IWGA) and lastly being awarded with the 2014 Spirit Of Sport Award for our Sport Is Your Gang initiative. During that time IFMA has also organised their own World Championships which has proven to be a great success throughout the years.

Slowly but surely, Muaythai has made a name for itself in the SportAccord Convention with the Good Morning Muaythai Programmes, making the delegates participate and learn more about the sport.

IFMA will be attending next years SportAccord Convention in Sochi, Russia, promoting the beauty, the culture and the strength of Muaythai to the world.

Here are some pictures of our first SportAccord Convention in Korea, followed by our last convention in Belek, Turkey.
