The Executive Board meeting 2012 saw a large delegation of nearly all IFMA executive members. The agenda was full and there were numerous presentations to be made, ensuring that the Executive put in a hard morning’s work.

A full presentation was given regarding the 2013 World Combat Games and final decisions on the qualification process. The Organizing Committee for the city of Incheon, hosts for the 2013 Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, attended  the meeting to make a detailed presentation about the Games. Muaythai Australia also presented, highlighting the 2013 Arafura Games, and the Silk Road Cup series was discussed, brainchild of the Uzbekistan Muaythai Federation, which is planned to span Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The final presentation was for the 2014 World Championships host country and city.

One of the very important agenda points discussed was a change in the IFMA rules, changing round timing to 3 rounds of 3 minutes each, with a 1 minute break. This would be a significant change from 4 rounds of 2 minutes each, with a 1 minute break. The Executive also listened to reports about the different commissions, especially the Female Commission and Athlete’s Commission.
