17 April marks Play True Day, a global initiative led by the World Anti-Doping Agency, uniting the world of sport behind the principles of clean sport, integrity, and respect.
As the sole IOC-recognised governing body for Muaythai and a proud WADA signatory, the International Federation of Muaythai Associations continues to lead with the highest standards of governance, safeguarding, and athlete protection.
To celebrate this important day, the global Muaythai community united in a dynamic Kick Challenge, with athletes from every continent participating alongside the Athletes’ Commission led by Chair Lennert Swart.

Pledges echoed across the community, reaffirming the core values of clean sport: respect, honesty, courage, fairness, integrity, and responsibility.

Mongkon Academy, IFMA’s official gym, proudly joined the celebration of Play True Day. Led by former world champion and United Through Sports President Stephan Fox, the challenge brought together participants of all ages and abilities in a true showcase of inclusion and unity.
The challenge featured:
- A spirited kicking competition, testing skill, technique, and determination
- Clean sport questions, reinforcing education and awareness
- Prizes and recognition for participants
- And above all, fun, bringing the community together through the joy of Muaythai
This was more than a challenge; it was a celebration of values, community, and the spirit of sport.

Adding to this message, IFMA Sport Director, ITA Clean Sport Education Ambassador, and former Muaythai World Champion Janice Lyn stated:
“Clean sport is not just a rule, it is a responsibility we all share.
Every athlete, regardless of level or ability, deserves a fair and safe environment.
In Muaythai, we teach values before victory, and integrity before medals.
That is what it truly means to Play True.”
Echoing this global commitment, the World Anti-Doping Agency reminds us:
“Athletes’ health, fair competition, and integrity are at the heart of clean sport. Play True is a shared responsibility.”
Muaythai for All. Clean Sport for All. Play True.
