FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann has been elected President of SportAccord after overcoming the President of World Underwater Federation Anna Arzhanova in today’s SportAccord General Assembly.
Patrick Baumann is an IOC member and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Secretary General was elected the new SportAccord president today at the SportAccord Convention in Lausanne.
Mr. Baumann said that he acknowledges his challenge and will be “trying to build an atmosphere which can bring us all together.” He says SportAccord can serve as “the voice of sport.”
IFMA is looking forward to a close cooperation with the new President and hopes that SportAccord will continue to be a strong platform for all its members.
