Last years’ Muaythai Youth demonstrated that the sport is growing exponentially and the World Muaythai Championships 2019 in Antalya already broke records by the number of registered participants.
Turkish team will definitely try to make history and compete for the highest team achievement. Their registration counts more than 150 people which is a statement in itself that every category will have the strongest representative who will want to go the furthers in the draw bracket.


The only team which comes close to Turkey is the team Russia which traditionally brings their numerous team to each IFMA event. Bright performance and great results allow Russia be confident in the future of their sport. This year in Antalya the world can see new Levin’s and Vakhitov’s coming up to the awarding podium. Becoming the second best team in Bangkok in 2018 Russian athletes will be the main rivals for Turkey to get to the top of the team’s medal standings.


With Muaythai developing rapidly in all continents the youth teams from USA and Australia are claiming their spot in the top world ranking coming 3rd and 4th in number of medals won in 2018 Youth World Championships.This year both teams are bringing athletes who pulled their countries up in the rankings and made the anthems play multiple times at the Bangkok National Stadium which was the venue for the Youth World Championships 2019.


Team Thailand will have to try very hard to keep the Best Team title won at their home Youth World Muaythai Championships and IFMA is looking forward to seeing the development of the competition in Turkey as so many teams are bringing young talents to excel in the field of play.
