Covid-19 forced the world into lockdown, all major sporting events have been cancelled or postponed including the Olympic Games 2020.
The IOC “Stay Strong Stay Active Stay Healthy” campaign where close to 5,000 Olympians had engaged reached a remarkable 243000 people across the world. IFMA is proud to be recognised by the IOC and over the last three months the IFMA youth shared their stories and workouts to the IFMA family to an estimated 3 million followers. Today more than ever, the values of sport must shine. We all share the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, respect and solidarity, and with this solidarity we will beat this Pandemic and soon our athletes can shine again on the field of play.
The IOC President stated “Let us join together to use the power of sport to prepare the postponed Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as a moment of solidarity and resilience of humankind. ON Olympic Day, we are sending this Olympic message to everybody. Please stay strong, stay active, stay healthy. To everyone in the world, wonderful Olympic Day 2020.”
