FAMA General Secretary Mr Mervyn Tan greeted all team managers and heads of delegations at the Team Manager meeting which took place at the Patong Beach Hotel.
Mr Tan gave the floor to Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, IFMA President who thanked all teams for coming and welcomed them all to the beautiful beach side city in Phuket Thailand.
The President then gave the floor to IFMA General Secretary Stephan Fox who reminded all team managers on the importance of sportsmanship. He stressed that sportsmanship was a very important pillar within IFMA’s ideals and that all athletes and team officials would be expected to conduct themselves towards achieving fair play both through conduct in and out of the ring as well as through clean, doping-free sport.
Elias Dolapstis, the official Technical Delegate for the event then thanked all executives for their warm welcome and guidance and commenced with the official draw.
