Muaythai is built on five important pillars respect, honour, tradition, fair play and excellence.

Youth development is a very important part of Muaythai. The kids are our future, not just in the sport, but in life. Muaythai is more than just a martial art, in fact, it is a way of life, and for the children, it is not all about competition. Through the various aspects in the sport and cultural art form, children are taught important values, goal, and learn to respect their opponents, cultural values and understanding, and above all, to have friends.

MTIOC-(NEW)For many years, IFMA has had a driving Youth Commission, and do to this, the children have a voice. Every year, youth forums are organized and listening and understanding the children from all parts of the globe, many times the teacher becomes the student. This year will mark the 12th Junior World Championship and we will celebrate this magic number with the children. Many activities are planned to further enhance the cultural understanding, the importance of sport and education, fun activities, and always, exciting competition.

We must continue to strive for excellence and as much as we promote this in our children, we must set the example. Whoever has witnessed an IFMA Youth World Championship will know that thanks to these beautiful kids from all five continents, the future of Muaythai is safe.
