Everyone should have the right to Education and Sport, regardless of gender or social standing. This is an important aspect of Muaythai as a sport for all. Bangkok is the host of the first IFMA Muaythai University World Cup, under the patronage of The Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU or International University Sports Federation). Along with the competition events, various side conferences and meetings will be conducted, with the main forum being on Youth, Education and Sport.
Speakers will be coming from various parties namely, UN Women with the UNiTE to End Violence Against Women campaign, SportAccord, FISU, Thailand University Sport Board, the Thai Government, IFMA, and many others. Over 200 participants from over 70 countries will participate in this important forum which truly shows that the power of sport must and can make a difference to society.
The forum is sponsored by the Thai Government, the Department of Physical Education, the National University Sports Board of Thailand, the Amateur Muaythai Authority of Thailand (AMTAT), under Royal Patronage, and IFMA.
