Over 900 athletes travelled to the Kingdom of Thailand for the official qualifier of The World Games 2022 in Birmingham AL, USA. The seven-day event saw so many world class competitions, a promoter’s dream in many of the match ups. IFMA has a strong belief in promoting gender equality in the sport, and the female contest has seen the same level of action and has been in many ways more popular than its male counterpart.
The World Games is IFMA’s elite event and therefore it will be the best of the best which will be travelling to Birmingham to battle it out to be the ultimate champion in the World Games muaythai divisions. Some of the qualification finals at the 2021 IFMA World Championships have been very close and no doubt the silver medallists are looking forward to a possible re-match in 2022 at The World Games.
We would like to congratulate all the winners and look forward to 8 more qualification events before March including the European Championships in February to qualify the last remaining spots.
