The IFMA ad hoc committee and the IFMA international office opened their office after the New year’s break. IFMA Sport’s Director Charissa Tynan said many events are coming up with the SportAccord convention in Bangkok being a fantastic opportunity to promote muaythai as an IOC recognised sport.

Beautiful Cancun will host the 2018 IFMA world championship with around 90 countries and over 1,500 athletes and officials. To stay on the beach and continue the good vibes the FISU World Championship will be held beach side in Pattaya while the European Championships will be held in Prague, the Youth World Championship in Bangkok and the Asian Champions in Macau.

Many other activities are planned, seminars on fair play and sport integrity and IFMA will continue to promote and foster the Olympic values and the five pillars of muaythai, respect, honour, tradition, fairplay and excellence.
