More fantastic news has come through for the sport of muaythai: the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has included Muaythai in the Asian Beach Games, set to occur in Phuket, Thailand, in 2014.
This will be the fourth of these prestigious games and will mark the second games event under the banner of the OCA that Muaythai has been included, the first being the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games.
At this point Muaythai has been a demonstration sport in the Asian Games. These games will now be the next main focus for Muaythai to strive for its inclusion.
