Students in Malaysia at all government and private schools now have the chance to learn Muaythai as part of the official school curriculum.
Dato Muhd Shahnaz Azmi, President of the Malaysian Muaythai Federation and IFMA executive board member stated that this was owing to the hard work over a long developing process and cooperation with the education department of the Malaysian Government.
Muaythai now joins other martial arts such as Taekwondo and Karate as part of the official school physical education options for students whom
can study Muaythai and get curriculum marks towards their university credits.
The Malaysian Muaythai Federation has become one of the top in the world for its educational and youth development work and IFMA and WMC commends them on their initiatives.
