The inaugural World Olympians Forum (WOF) takes place in Moscow, Russia from 20 – 22 October 2015.

The WOF brought together all 143 National Olympians Associations, Olympians, representatives of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Family, Governments and other key Olympic, sporting and non-governmental stakeholders to share best practices and discuss the topics of greatest concern to Olympians.

The Forum marked a significant moment in the Olympic calendar with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, and IOC President Thomas Bach, World Olympians Association (WOA) Patron HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and WOA President Joël Bouzou giving opening addresses to launch the new event, on behalf of the WOA.

IFMA is proud to be affiliated with Mr. Joël Bouzou, whi is also the Founder of Organisation for Peace and Sport with which IFMA cooperates through the Sport is Your Gang social campaign.

Among other distinguished participants of the event there were Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) , Patrick Hickey, IOC Member and European Olympic Committees President and Kevan Gosper, IOC Member and hundreds of Olympians who have visited Moscow for this important event.
