Today’s quarterfinal bouts produced some world class performances, and a great atmosphere at the Bien Dong Park Beach.

In the 45KG women’s division Thailand beat Chinese Taipei to secure their spot in the finals. For the second semi final of the 45KG women’s division Hong Kong beat Singapore and the final is set for a Thailand VS Hong Kong showdown. In the 48 KG men’s division, Singapore beat Iraq and made history by booking a spot for the first time ever in an ABG final round. In the second semi-final of the men’s 48 KG division, Thailand silenced the home crowd by beating Vietnam in a true battle.

In the women’s 51 KG division, Vietnam beat Chinese Taipei to the delight and roar of the crowd and advanced to the finals, while Thailand beat Lebanon to book their spot against the local favourite.

In the men’s 51 KG division, Kazakhstan showed once again why they are considered one of Asia’s strongest muaythai nations when they beat the home team, while Thailand beat China to set a Kazakhstan Vs Thailand final.

In the women’s 54KG division Thailand superstar Taehiran, the current world champion beat Iraq while Vietnam already secured their spot in the finals.

In the men’s 54KG division Thailand beat out Hong Kong while Korea beat the Philippines in a great display of muaythai weaponry. In the men’s 71 KG division quarter final Vietnam beat Turkmenistan while Iran beat Korea. Kazakhstan beat their spot in the final with a win over Tajikistan while China beat out Iraq. In the Men’s 75KG division quarterfinal Philippines beat Uzbekistan while China sent Turkmenistan packing.

It was yet another great day of excellent muaythai talent at the Asian Beach Games and everyone is waiting in anticipation for the semi-finals which will commence on the 25th after what is slated to be an amazing Opening Ceremony tomorrow in Danang.
