The Kosovo Muaythai Federation, recognised by its National Olympic Committee and Ministry invited 6 countries to this a special event slated “The Kosovo Open” sanctioned by IFMA and EMF.

Teams from Israel, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Hungary, and Montenegro and IFMA’s newest federation Albania is participating at this event at the brand new Decan Sports Palace.

The president of the Kosovo Muaythai Federation Shpejtim Ahmetaj stated that it is important that after the lockdown post-pandemic activities had to be organised in order to provide long-awaited opportunities for athletes in the region.

At the same time it also will help to develop and test the Kosovo athletes towards the strategic plan of the national federation and National Olympic Committee towards their participation in the 2023 European Games.

IFMA Executive Committee member Laszlo Sczabo and Senior ITO Jens Wilke from Germany have been assigned by the IFMA to attend the event to ensure the safety and fair play.
