The decisive moment for the athletes happened today when they found out their competitors as the draw for the event for the medals of the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships and qualification points for the World Games 2021.

International teams from 33 countries will start the Muaythai competition and many athletes who just finished their world championships campaign in Bangkok will be featured in Chungju. Asia truly gathers the world’s elite athletes this year.

One of the bouts to watch tomorrow will be between Nili Block (ISR) who has the record of 18 bouts in a row and defended her world’s champion’s title and Jamiyandorj Odgerel (MGL). It will be an into-the-fire experience for Jamiyandorj to face IFMA legend.

The silver medalist Aleksand Abramov (RUS)  came to Korea to compensate for the loss in a very close final against Almaz Sarsembekov (KAZ) in Bangkok. He will be super motivated to prove himself in Chungju. Hossein Mahdizadeh (IRI) will debut in IFMA events against a very tough and experienced rival from Russia. Hossein will have a chance to make a sensation tomorrow.

Many other exciting bouts are expected to take place at the Hoam Gymnasium over the three days, and tomorrow spectators will see the opening performance by the Muaythai artist in Chungju.
