Over the last 8 months, IFMA was one of the main initiators of the Bangkok Urban Youth Tournament which brought together youth from all social backgrounds including migrant and immigrant children from Thai border provinces. Many sports participated like 3×3 basketball. Futsal, speak takraw, badminton, power lifting jujitsu, taekwondo and certainly muaythai.

Now, round two is in preparations for 2020 under IFMA’s Sport Is Your Gang campaign in partnership with United Through Sports, RightToPlay and many others.

The KMTA witnessed the finals of the tournament and the Vice President Lim Chang Jin was touched and inspired by the initiative. Mr Lim travelled together with the KMTA delegation including KMTA General Secretary, Kim Kwang Yul and KMTA International Director, Lee Woochan to donate a sum o 300,000 THB towards the initiative.

IFMA Director Charissa Tynan accepted the donation on behalf of the IFMA family, and the “do good feel good” campaign, in the presence of IFMA Secretary General Stephan Fox at the IFMA HQ in Bangkok.

IFMA would like to thank the KMTA for the generous donation and look forward to continuing the social initiative IFMA runs using the power of sport to create a better and brighter tomorrow.
