Every year the WMC and IFMA celebrates the birthday of his Majesty Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun the King of Thailand. Amateur muaythai already marked this auspicious day yesterday. And now it is the turn of the World Muaythai Council under Royal Patronage and the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur has put together 100 bouts of professional muaythai which will be held over 24 hours, beginning on the 29th July from 6pm and finishing on the evening of the 30th July.

The best referees and judges from around the world have been flown in to officiate on this prestigious event to ensure the safety of the athletes which for the first time will see 40 hours of non stop muaythai without a break.

Many kids have already arrived in Bangkok for the IFMA Youth World Championship so it will be an amazing opportunity for them to see their heroes at work and also partake in the birthday celebrations.

The event will feature international bouts as well as a Super 8 competition and numerous Super 4 competitions which will be held on the Monday as the main part of the show.

The event is open to all free of charge and will take place across two rings set up next to the Sports Authority of Thailand building in Ramkhamhaeng. The event begins at 3.30 pm with the first bouts beginning from 5.00 pm.
