From February 12–16, the proud city of Petropavlovsk became the beating heart of Kazakh Muaythai as the Kazakhstan Senior National Championship brought together the nation’s finest warriors.
Over five powerful days, athletes from 12 regions stepped into the ring, not only to compete for medals, but to carry the honor of their cities, their coaches, and their country. Each bout was more than a contest of skill. It was a statement of identity, unity, and national pride.
A Legacy of Recognition and Leadership
Muaythai enjoys full recognition in Kazakhstan, reflecting the country’s commitment to structured development and international excellence. Kazakhstan proudly made history in 2003, hosting the first IFMA World Championships ever staged outside of Thailand, a milestone that marked the nation as a true pioneer in the global expansion of Muaythai.
Since then, Kazakhstan has continued to grow as a respected force within the international community.

A Showcase of Strength, Discipline, and Olympic Spirit
The championship in Petropavlovsk was not simply a tournament, it was a proving ground for the next generation of national heroes.
Athletes demonstrated:
- Excellence through technical precision and relentless preparation
- Respect through traditional Wai Kru and sportsmanship
- Friendship and Unity as competitors stood shoulder to shoulder under one flag
With every strike, every clinch, and every tactical exchange, the message was clear: representing Kazakhstan on the international stage is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Almaty Leads the Nation
The Almaty region delivered a commanding performance, showcasing depth, preparation, and championship mentality:
- 8 Gold Medals
- 6 Silver Medals
- 1 Bronze Medal
Their achievement secured first overall team place, reaffirming Almaty’s position as a powerhouse of Kazakh Muaythai and a benchmark of excellence for the nation.

Federation Pride and National Vision
Reflecting on the championship, Farkhat Amankulov, President of the Kazakhstan Muaythai Federation, shared:
“Our athletes showed incredible determination and skill. This championship proves the strength of Kazakh Muaythai, and I am proud of every competitor who stepped into the ring. Together, we are building a team that will represent Kazakhstan with honor and excellence at international events.”
His words echoed a larger truth: Kazakhstan is not only developing champions, it is building a movement rooted in discipline, heritage, and international ambition.

Looking Ahead: One Nation, One Team
With the championship concluded, the newly formed national team now begins its journey toward upcoming continental and world competitions. The fire ignited in Petropavlovsk will fuel months of preparation, unity, and national focus.
Kazakhstan continues to rise — not just as a competitor, but as a leader in the global Muaythai family.
Under one flag.
With one purpose.
For the honor of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
