The SportAccord Convention in Gold Coast, Australia had many bright moments and sensational announcements. For the martial artists all around the world it was the announcement of the World Combat Games 2021 which will take place in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan.

The Secretary General of the Kazakhstan Martial Arts Association Mr. Farhat Amankulov traveled all the way from Almaty to take part in the official signing of the hosting contract at the GAISF General Assembly. Mr. Amankulov presented Kazakhstan as a sport loving country with martial arts being on top of popularity among all walks of life. The President of GAISF Mr Rafaelle Chiulli and GAISF Director Mr. Philippe Gueisbuhler congratulated Mr. Amankulov and announced the beginning of the preparation for the long expected Games.

Hosting world championships in various sports as well as multi sports games like Universiade will allow Kazakhstan to hold the event on the highest level. Strong support from the government, and modern newly built sports facilities will ensure that every participant will have amazing experience and for the viewers the Games will give many memorable moments.

2021 will truly become a year to shine for muaythai in the world of sport with so many events showcasing the sport and skills of athletes participating in the Games. The muaythai calendar will be full of events where athletes will have a chance to gain qualification points to make the list of the world’s top athletes to be featured in the Games.
