Friday the 31st May until the 4th of June will be the date for the next iGLA seminar, this time in the idyllic country of Mauritius. The seminar will hosted by the Mauritius Muaythai Federation Executive Committee under the guidance of the President and IFMA Executive Board member Sham Seetaram.
This is the first time a country in the Indian Ocean has put together such an event not only in muaythai but in all martial arts which is great news for the development of the sport. There will be over 20 coaches attending the Khru seminar and over 100 kids participating in seminars covering Khan 1 to 3 which will be taught from the online syllabus.
The course will be led by one of the leading Thai masters Ajarn Chao who will fly in specially for the event and will be teaching alongside Berty D’Eau, the national coach, who is a Khan 13 himself.
The president of the Mauritius Muaythai Federation stated that muaythai continues to grow from strength to strength on the island, even though we are a small country the level of enthusiasm and participation is outstanding. After this seminar all of our coaches will be able to log into the iGLA system and teach from the library of online material which is a huge benefit to our federation to ensure we don’t fall short on technology in this digital age.
