The United Arab Emirates Muaythai Federation have just completed a very successful national iGLA seminar with over 60 participants in attendance. The seminar which was lead by the highest Khan 12 and Khan 13 Ajarns from the UAE federation was a massive success with students receiving their Khan 1 and Khan 2 certificates as well as white Mongkhons to determine their level.Under the supervision of the United Arab Emirates Federation of muaythai and in cooperation with the general commander of the Abu Dhabi police, the grading of members was conducted by the technical committee of the union alongside Tariq Al an A list member of the board of directors and the Executive Director of the police union.The iGLA system is the only official education system recognised by the UAE for muaythai and has been incorporated into their strategic plan to broaden the base as well as spread the art of muaythai to all corners of the country.
The United Arab Emirates Muaythai Federation under the Presidency of H.E. Abdullah Saeed Alan is committed to strengthening not only the relationships with IFMA and FAMA but also to develop their athletes to the highest level under the guidance of the iGLA system. The organisation which is recognised by the National Olympic Committee has made steps to ensure that all students operate under the iGLA system and their skill level can be clearly defined by their Khan level.To commemorate the event following the grading a traditional Thai ceremony was performed where students received the Mongkhon from their teachers as well as a blessing for good luck.The event was held in an amazing sports facility with epic views of a mosque as the back setting. Many VIP guests were in attendance to witness the event and also took part in the graduation ceremony.The President of UAE muaythai His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Amer Al Neyadi Board Member stated that education is the key to pushing the sport forward, with the iGLA education system we are able to ensure that all of our students progress in the right direction and at the same time are awarded for their efforts and determination.
Head of the Activities Department Fahad Khalfan Al Abdooli stated the seminar was a great success and we have already began working on the next one. We will continue to work closely with the international office to develop the sport not only as work colleagues but as close friends.
The international representative Tariq stated that UAE muaythai will continue to promote the traditional aspects of muaythai and develop the sport from the grass roots and is proud that IFMA has awarded the 2019 Asian championship to Abu Dhabi.
