IFMA Team Hands On

The current pandemic has affected each and every one of us and now more than ever we must stand in solidarity and unity, transform crisis into opportunity and a united mission for the youth.

Nearly 10 years ago, IFMA has launched this Sport Is Your Gang initiative to support and/or build play and sporting grounds for youth from challenged backgrounds and/or impoverished locations. The project objective is to provide youth at risk in such communities with a safe playground and sporting opportunities. Over the last two months the IFMA team has been hands-on to rebuild another location in one of the socially challenged districts of Bangkok.

IFMA President, Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan stated, “During these challenging times, many have lost their jobs, there is a higher unemployment rate and that many of these youth can be left without options for self advancement. Therefore, it is our responsibility to do our best to provide facilities for the youth.

IFMA Director, Charissa Tynan stated, “Now more than ever, we must stand with the younger generation provide them with hope, aspirations and opportunity.”

IFMA General Secretary, Stephan Fox said, “One of our philosophies in Muaythai is giving back and we have a saying, the only time we look down on someone is if we reach out to help them back on their feet.”

Peace begins with a smile.
