IFMA Site Visit at Lumpinee Stadium: A Historic Moment for the 33rd SEA Games

Preparations for the 33rd SEA Games reached a historic milestone as IFMA’s Technical Delegate, Dato Shannaz Azmi, conducted an official site visit at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium—the home of Muaythai and one of the most iconic sporting arenas in the world.
In coordination with Lieutenant General Polsak Sripen, Director of the Army Tourism and Sports Promotion Agency, and the top management of Lumpinee Stadium, final plans and amendments were confirmed for the Muaythai competitions scheduled from 13–17 December.
For the athletes of the SEA Games, competing at Lumpinee Stadium is more than just stepping into a ring—it is stepping into history. Lumpinee has witnessed generations of champions and remains a symbol of Muaythai’s cultural heritage and global recognition. Hosting the SEA Games Muaythai competitions here marks a new chapter of legacy and excellence.
As part of IFMA’s commitment to athlete welfare and fair play, all safety measures have been thoroughly assessed, ensuring the highest standards of medical and operational readiness. In line with IFMA’s status as an IOC‑recognised international federation, athletes will undergo doping controls, as in every IFMA event, reinforcing the values of integrity and clean sport at this multisport Games.
This moment underscores IFMA’s dedication to providing athletes with world‑class platforms, blending tradition with modern sporting values, and showcasing Muaythai’s rightful place on the international stage.
As the countdown begins, IFMA extends its best wishes to all SEA Games athletes. Chok Dee to everyone competing—may this historic stage inspire your greatest performances!
