It has been a challenging year for the world and sport and muaythai is no exception. We are all battling the pandemic with sporting events cancelled so therefore, IFMA will hold its first ever Virtual General Assembly.
Over 120 countries will participate in this important assembly with important agenda points, reports from the continental federations with respect to the pandemic, post pandemic planning, strategic plan, commission reports and also introduction of the new IFMA educational programs.

IFMA President, Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, stated that during the pandemic IFMA has held many initiatives including the first ever 2020 Virtual Muaythai Championships with over 30,000 participants. IFMA must and will continue to stand in solidarity within the Olympic Movement so that we overcome this pandemic.
