The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) has been a proud member of SportAccord since 2006 and has actively participated in every SportAccord convention since 2003. This year, IFMA will once again continue its tradition of representation at the prestigious International Federation (IF) Forum, a three-day, invitation-only event designed to provide International Sport Federations with targeted thematic sessions.

The IF Forum, not open to the public or media, brings together recognized international sport federations, high-profile guest speakers, and exclusive partners. Organized by SportAccord, the four recognized umbrella organizations, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this important gathering is held annually in the Olympic Capital, Lausanne.

At this year’s forum, to be held once again at the Olympic Museum, IFMA will continue its strong commitment to sports diplomacy and global development. IFMA Director General Charissa Tynan, Executive Board Member Nadir Allouache, and Lausanne branch manager Zhuldyz Baimagambet will represent IFMA at this high-profile event, reinforcing the federation’s dedication to shaping the future of international sport.

The 2024 SportAccord IF Forum will focus on critical issues such as governance, athlete mental health, artificial intelligence integration, anti-doping strategies, and revenue management for federations. High-profile speakers, including IOC Vice-President Nicole Hoevertsz, IOC members, Presidents of International Federations, and WADA President Witold Bańka, will lead discussions that aim to strengthen the international sports landscape. This platform also serves as an excellent opportunity for networking and fostering collaboration among federations.

IFMA’s presence at the forum underscores its ongoing support for the global sports community and its close ties with the Alliance of Independent Recognized Members of Sport (AIMS). As a former AIMS member, with its Secretary General still playing a key role, IFMA proudly contributes to the smooth organization of the AIMS Council and General Assemblies, showcasing its dedication to collaboration and the growth of the sports sector.

Additionally, this event provides IFMA’s executive team with the opportunity to visit the IFMA Lausanne office at the Maison Du Sport and meet with key organizations.

The 2024 SportAccord IF Forum promises to be a valuable platform for IFMA to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to the evolution of international sport, in line with SportAccord’s mission and vision.
