On behalf of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur and the world muaythai community, we wish to express our sincere condolences for the recent passing of Timur Kamalovich Dossymbetov. His death is no doubt a great loss to the Olympic family and the world sport community.

We wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends, and colleagues who are affected so greatly by this loss.  He made many contributions to the world of sport and his efforts will be greatly missed.

He had many significant achievements, becoming the first world champion in Modern Pentathlon at the age of 25 and going on to accomplish so much for so many athletes in his leading role in the NOC of Kazakhstan.

We honour him and those whose lives he touched are in our thoughts and prayers.
