A special event “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality 2018” was organised at the Sukree Kaewcharoen Auditorium in Bangkok to raise awareness in the private sector of WEPs, gender equality gaps, and its roles in promoting gender equality, including women’s leadership and advancing safe workspaces for women.
IFMA was honoured to be invited to the event and meet amazing personalities of private and governmental sector speaking for gender equality in all aspects of life.
Women take many roles of the highest level in IFMA. 30% of the IFMA Executive Board is represented by women and the number of female Muaythai athletes grows with every IFMA competition.
IFMA prides itself to have female delegations participating in the international events for the first time; Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan will have female athletes at the World Championships in Cancun where they can participate in the various meetings, workshops and of course contribute to the overall team achievement by competing for the medals of the World Championships.
IFMA has always been a strong advocate for gender equality and a firm partner of any organisation which stands for fair treatment of people regardless culture, social standing, religion, gender, and beliefs.
