A special meeting took place between Karim Massimov, the President of IFMA’s Continental Arm, FAMA, and also Vice President of IFMA.

The important meeting discussed many issues in the upcoming event calendar in Asia Pacific including the upcoming Arafura Games in Australia, the World Championships in Thailand, the World Masterships in Korea, the Asian Championships in Abu Dhabi and the SEA Games in the Philippines. Also, the upcoming World Conference was one of the agenda points.
A further meeting was held with leaders in sport in Kazakhstan including the Minister of Culture and Sports, Mr. Muhamediuly Arystanbek, and General Secretary of the NOC, Mr. Saken Mussaibekov. Muaythai is fully recognized in Kazakhstan by both the Sports Ministry and the NOC. Also present at the meeting was the Vice President of Kazakhstan Muaythai and IFMA Executive Member, Farhart Amankulov, one IFMA’s pioneers.
Besides the hectic schedule, there was certainly time to enjoy some sport in one of the most beautiful ice hockey arenas in the world.
