54 kg division, Thachtana Loungphon from Thailand beat Eduard Michovich from Belarus in a world class event.

In the 63.5 kg division, which Thailand lost in the semi final, Igor Liubchenko from Ukraine won against Itai Gayer from Israel in a truly outstanding performance from both athletes.

67 kg Thailand also lost the Semi Finals and it was Magomed Zaynukov from Russia against Kurt Staiti from Australia. Both athletes pulling out a world class performance with Russia coming out as the winner.

71 Kg was the fight the world truly wanted to see, Thailand champion Muensang Suppachai vs European Champion, Andrei Kulebin, with thousands of Thais coming to support their national hero and it was Thailand that won with a point decision at a fantastic match.

75 Kg was Olivier Ngoto from France vs Islam Murtazaev from Russia, where both supporting sides in a cheer off at opposing corner, truly lifting the spirits of the stadium and it was Olivier from France who brought home the glory in an electrifying performance.

European superstar Dimitry Valent, defeated Nadir Iskhakov from Russia in a fantastic performance.

IFMA president Dr. Sakchye stated that muaythai is truly international, and stated again how international muaythai has become, with Thai super stars losing semi finals in the home turf shows the strength and evenness of muaythai on a world wide scale which is the achievement of the IFMA work done over the last decade to develop muaythai from the grassroots.
