Important agenda points were discussed yesterday as the IFMA Executive Board members convened in Antalya.
The meeting started with the address by the President Dr. Sakchye to the board members and a special thank you went to the host of the Youth World Muaythai Championships 2019 President Mr. Halil Durna, Vice President Hasan Yildiz and his team for organising this amazing competition in Turkey. The experience IFMA youth have at the event will truly stay in their memory for many years ahead.

 

 

The upcoming events were announced with the European Muaythai Championships 2019 in Minsk taking over the relay from Antalya less than a month from now welcoming the European teams on 3rd November. Mr. Anatoliy Simonchyk took the floor reporting that the preparation for the European Championships are going well and after hosting the European Games Minsk is fully ready to be the host for any sports event.

 

The SEA Games will be in the spotlight in Asia with Muaythai making the official programme. More than 40 sports are added to the Games by far breaking the record of the previous edition. Asian Muaythai Championships will conclude the year bringing the Asian athletes to Abu Dabi for the last World Games qualifier where athletes can gain valuable points towards the Birmingham 2021.

 
The upcoming years leading to two major events with Muaythai in the programme will be truly full of events as the qualification spots for the the World Games in Birmingham and World Combat Games in Nur Sultan will make the greatest Muaythai athletes sticking to the fight as next year IFMA events will have a status of direct qualifiers for both Games.

 
IFMA Educational report, IFMA Ethics Commission, Anti-Doping have been among many important questions to discuss and develop a strategy for continuing the work on protecting the athletes and raising the stars of tomorrow.
