Morocco will be the host country from the 21st to 24th July to host the IFMA African Muaythai Championships. The organisers have promised a colourful opening ceremony involving the rich African culture and the history of one of their most beautiful countries, Morocco. This year’s African Championships have also received the honour of awarding the final five qualifying sports for the upcoming SportAccord Games in Beijing, 28th Aug – 4th Sept 2010.

European Championships – Rome, Italy

The IFMA European Championships 2010 will be held in Italy’s historic capital city of Rome. 32 European national federations will participate for pride and honour from May 25th-May 30th. All leading countries are competing, and it will be the last big test for some athletes prior to their travel to Beijing for the SportAccord Combat Games.

Asian Championships – Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan’s capital city Tashkent has been awarded the 2010 Asian Championships. 26 countries will take part and it is the first time that Uzbekistan has received the honour of hosting such an event, which proves the growing popularity of muaythai in Uzbekistan and Asia. This will be the final test for Asia’s best boxers before Beijing’s SportAccord Combat Games.
