After days of intense meeting, IFMA gave delegates a chance to let their hair down at the annual IFMA Cultural Cocktail party. The night brought together over 60 international sport federations and associations to celebrate friendship and the spirit of sport.
The night began with socialising over free flowing drinks, music and fun, which followed with a brief opening speech by our IFMA President Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan. Dr Tapsuwan welcomed the distinguished guests and sportsman and congratulated the newly appointed President of the Alliance of Independent Members of SportAccord (AIMS) our very own Mr Stephan Fox.
A Muay Boran team specially flown in from Thailand had the crowd transfixed with a special demo performance of the traditional art of Muaythai.
The night was made particularly momentous with the official signing of the collaboration convention between IFMA and FISU. IFMA is excited to work closely with FISU towards the first Muaythai World University Championship under FISU in 2018. Our special guests were honoured with a special presentation of souvenir medals from the recent University World Cup in Bangkok, under FISU patronage.
The night brought together over 30 SportAccord international federations and was truly a night in celebration of unity and friendship.
