During the esteemed SportAccord Convention 2024 and the concurrent muaythai workshops, IFMA proudly recognized the exemplary contributions of distinguished figures from the United Kingdom’s muaythai community.

In a moving ceremony presided over by IFMA President, Doctor Sakchye Tapsuwan, and President of United Through Sports and esteemed SportAccord Council member, Stephan Fox, several luminaries from the UK’s muaythai scene were honored.

The first recipient of this prestigious recognition was Mr. Mick Mullaney, hailing from the renowned Wicker Camp. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Mullaney has made indelible marks on both the national and international stages, embodying the essence of dedication and excellence.

Another shining star to be feted was Miss Iman Barlow, a stalwart in the world of muaythai. With accolades including IFMA World Games and World Championships titles, Miss Barlow stands as a beacon of inspiration, showcasing unparalleled skill and determination. Her achievements have solidified her status as one of the foremost female athletes on the global stage.

In a poignant moment, the leadership of UKMF, including its President, Vice President, and National Coach, joined in the ceremony to honor Miss Barlow and her remarkable journey. In addition to recognizing her individual accomplishments, a special award was bestowed upon Miss Barlow’s entourage and family, acknowledging their unwavering support in nurturing her dreams and fostering her development as both a muaythai champion and ambassador.
