Lausanne, Switzerland – 27 October 2025
The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) attended the 2025 Annual General Assembly of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF), held at the Olympic Museum Auditorium in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital.

IFMA was represented at the meeting by Director General Charissa Tynan and Treasurer Ioannis Papadopoulos, joining fellow IOC-recognised International Federations to review the year’s achievements and elect new leadership for the coming term.

The Assembly was honoured by the presence of IOC President Kirsty Coventry, who delivered an inspiring address to the delegates. President Coventry spoke of “the power of sport to unite and to create safe spaces for young people to play, to dream, and to believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow.” Her message of warmth and unity resonated deeply across the Olympic family, reinforcing the shared responsibility of all stakeholders to safeguard the values of respect, integrity, and inclusion in sport.

The General Assembly covered a full agenda, including updates on the ARISF Strategic Plan, good governance and safeguarding initiatives, and collaboration with WADA and ITA on clean sport and anti-doping education. The Assembly also reviewed ARISF’s ongoing engagement with the IOC, SportAccord, and the Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of Competition Manipulation.
A key highlight of the meeting was the Presidential election, where Dr. Raffaele Chiulli was re-elected as ARISF President in a close vote, securing 19 votes against challenger Anna Arzhanova, who received 16.
The Assembly also elected three new Council Members. Zena Wooldridge received the highest number of votes (27), followed by Rob Rauch (26) and Anna Arzhanova (21).
IFMA extends its warm congratulations to Dr. Chiulli and all newly elected Council Members and looks forward to continuing its active contribution to ARISF’s mission of strengthening collaboration and integrity among IOC-recognised federations.
